Detective Dane Riley knows what it means to be defenseless-he spent his childhood that way. That's the reason he always wanted to join the force. Keeping innocents from getting hurt is what he lives for. But arresting the bad guys isn't enough when a few slick lawyers can keep the scum from the justice they've earned.
