Communicate as HSP with dissociation
Deni Iseli
I wonder if people realize how they communicate. I wonder if people are aware of their non-verbal behavior. Of course, a lot of conversations go well. But as HSP, I notice little things that can quickly lead to misunderstandings and conflicts. Due to the presence of the psychic disorders PTSD, (open and hidden) narcissism, codependency, gaslighting (cunning manipulation technique of hidden narcissism) and TPS, in the family I grew up in, I have not experienced any positive aspects of communication. Now that I am 63 years old and making progress in my therapy, I am learning how to communicate in a positive way. As HSS, I keep trying and experiencing, and notice the little things that can come into play in conversations. Everyone is different and thinks differently about everything. Every human is a complicated being. I am also a complicated being myself. I'm not surprised that there are misunderstandings and conflicts, in our world of about 7 billion people, despite our developed brains. Not everyone is aware of his way of communicating and his non-verbal behavior. I am not an expert either, but I am aware of it. For the time being I prefer to communicate in writing, which is easier for me.
