Like a sunset by the ocean, a great cup of coffee on a chilly morning by the lake, a deep gaze into the eyes of a lover - this is a book simply about the illusion of time, and the meaning we bring to these moments, and the countless others in our lives. It is part ghost story, part love story, part an essay of faith, and part journey in the world of dreams and imagination. It is not meant by the author to betaken all too seriously - and yet not dismissed easily or rushed through. Jimmy Buffett once wrote in a lyric - "don't try to describe the ocean if you've never seen it." So a work of fiction is both imagination and the sense of something real, or at least that is the hope of every author - to make the unreal somehow real.
