The Empowering Leader is a book written for today's Christian and church leaders describing five principles of empowerment leadership. Five un-church New Zealand leaders who author David Hammond has worked with and to the author exemplify each principle, head up the chapters. In this book David uses his experience in leadership across the secular and Christian worlds to show how leaders can develop their style into one which unleashes the potential of others to reach our communities and to better engage our church volunteers. The author brings his insights into leadership from a career in leadership assessment and development, as a missionary in the Middle East, Chairman of organisations, Church Planter, and a Chief Executive with 10 years' experience at that level. David's expertise in creating empowerment models for organisations in New Zealand and Australia leads him to frequently speak and train others in the principles of empowering leadership.
