This is my personal journey in learning to love me and live authentically in that freedom. People see my smile and feel the joy but most have no clue of the pain, struggles, lessons, and triumphs that produced it. This book is a raw, heartfelt glimpse into the life of a boy reared in the black church, desperate to fit in, wanting and failing miserably to live up to other's expectations until finally coming to grips with his own truth. That's when everything changed. I pray that my words inspire others with the courage and wisdom to live free, and to embrace the power and beauty in being their most authentic self.
