Mysterious deaths begin to plague Pine County right when Eleanor Grace starts working for a company filling out survey questions over the phone. She's searching for direction in her life while coping with the recent loss of her grandmother and the wild antics of her college-aged daughter who needs to find her father, lost since 9/11. Eleanor Grace turns to her ex-FBI older brother, Theo, and attorney friend, Lizzie, when life becomes so confused in the town that she loves, as the evidence points to murder by someone she intimately knows.
