A boy called Donal is lead into an ancient world of Faerie where Puck of old still lives. Puck has a ancient hatred of mankind and tried to destroy the boy. But fairies are of mischief and not of evil - things don't go Puck's way and Donal has allies in Faerie who work against the grand plans of Puck and war eventually ensues. Donal has family and when he sees they are ensnared and will be taken into Pucks plans - he resists and begins to fight back.
