It looks like effective parenting in this jet age gets more and more difficult by the day. Many parents, in a bid to avoid the same mistakes their parents made at raising them as kids by being harsh and authoritarian, choose to be lenient and permissive. Rather than get good results, they end up raising morally-bereft children, simply because they didn't understand that in parenting, balance is highly necessary. This book doesn't intend to subject readers to a parenting template - as there is no such thing as a perfect parent or a one-size-fit-all module for parenting. However, the author believes that there are basic principles that have universal relevance; proven to give undeniable results when applied. None of the parenting principles written in this book can be overlooked as hog-wash because they were derived from dedicated years of research and personal experience. The stability of every family is largely dependent on the deliberate choices the leaders of the home (parents) take as it is almost impossible for any Body, group, organization, or association to be better than its leaders. As a result, readers will agree with the writer that no home is functional and beautiful by default, neither are beautiful homes magically created. Parenting that makes a beautiful home is hardwork; it is dedication; and absolutely a product of purpose.
