BIGNORANCE: Bigotry born of ignorance and pride. Three people attack the same issue with three different approaches. There may be three different conclusions and results; or the outcome may be the same in all three cases. Who used the correct process? Was one of these three people more correct than the other two? The big question however, may be: Why did they react in different ways? or, Why did they not all react exactly alike? Better yet, you may ask, "What difference does it make?" By asking that question, you have uncovered the total theme, plot and intent of this book. Enlarging on that question, one could expand it to ask, Why are we sometimes adamant that a given method is the only way to resolve an issue? Or what makes one neighborhood more desirable than another? I have heard it said that particular postal ZIP codes are more desirable than others. Why should that be so?
