To date, I have weathered many storms and faced many situations that would warrant me not to be here right now. But it took losing my already damaged sight in my right eye, coupled with the loss of my sweet innocent princess for whom I fought hard to carry; This along with the knowledge that I have another person, my son, to live for made me come to the realization that no one can make things better, no one can change my situation except me. This is why I am here to tell my story. This is the driving force behind how I overcame my obstacles and rose above my abusive relationship to be here proud and can tell my story. This is with the hope that my story can prevent someone from getting into a similar situation by looking for the signs that someone is abusive; or help someone who is currently facing an abusive situation.
