First of all thank you for your support of this book. I wrote this book to inspire kids to speak up and stand up to bullying. Captain Flappy Legs is the confidence for every kid to stand up against bullies and aliens. He is non lethal power convincingly tames bullies and foes. Children will find it entertaining at the same time inspired to be confident and courageous. The books contains 15 illustrations to add to the imagination. According to US National Statistics at least 20% of students experienced bullying from grade 4-12. Roughly 280,000 students being bullying every month. It is just unbelievably high number. Bullying not only hurts students physically and mentally but also lead to suicide. Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) research indicates that persistent bullying can lead to or worsen feelings of isolation, rejection, exclusion, and despair, as well as depression and anxiety, which can contribute to suicidal behavior. 14% of bullied students consider suicide and half of them actually attempt suicide. That means 19,600 students attempt suicide. A lot of young lives will be lost because of bullying. That's the reason why I am on a mission to stop bullying by educating and inspiring children. I will also contribute 10% of proceeds from this book to UNICEF anti-bullying campaign to hopefully save young precious lives who have a lot of future ahead of them.
