The author, a mammographer working with breast cancer patients, was familiar with the processes and treatments of breast cancer, but her unexpected diagnosis left her desperately wanting some guidance to coping with the overwhelming emotions and challenges that lay ahead.. She uses her breast cancer experience as a way of offering what helped her cope and find serenity and acceptance of the enormous changes in her life. Her writing is honest, sensitive, relatable and practical.
