In this Afro-futuristic allegorical tale, high school teacher Mecca Freeman believes she has lost her husband, lost her spirit and lost her mind. After she and her students witness the attack on the World Trade Center on 9/11 her ancestors offer Mecca a Divine opportunity to meet her spirit face to face and travel to the past. Her spiritual journey of discovery opens her eyes to her family's courageous efforts to combat New York City's racist history.
