Emily is on a mission to prove her mother, the famous Dr. Kathryn Taylor, wrong about her boyfriend Dr. Eric Hart. He's a psychiatrist at the Veteran's Hospital working on a ward with cancer patients. Dr. Hart is conducting clinical trials that don't add up with the amount of deaths that are taking place there. Emily's working as an intern for the summer, under Dr. Hart's supervision, until she starts medical school in the fall. Dr. Hart has met his match with Emily, because she's on the trail to prove that the infamous doctor has been committing hideous crimes at the hospital.
