Author Karen Coruthers has the vernacular of Maya Angelou, the style and grace of Lena Horne, and the unshakeable will of Madam CJ Walker. In her latest work, Winds of Change, Karen openly faces her past. She says, " You win some, you learn some but you never lose any." This motto, along with her life experiences, has led Karen to compile a compilation of original poems that coincide with past emotions of passion, love, anger, exhaustion, fits of rage, and desperation intertwined with lessons, sarcasm, concern and humor.

Winds of Change will be used to uplift, re-direct and empower others- a true celebration of the overcomer. Although tragedy to triumph can be seemingly negative at first, it's these events that shape us and propel us into our destiny!
