Why do we always start from here was written to help children use the practices with the knowledge that they are not alone in their thoughts and feelings in different situations in life. It is hoped that parents/guardians would read the book to their child and work through it together, both embarking on their first journey into mindfulness. Mindfulness is a practice, which as the word says it is a 'practice' that you can use every day. See the wonderful World around you, smell the things around you, touch the things around you, hear the things around you and feel the things around you.
