Stanley's life was ideal up until two years ago - or so he thought. He had married his high school sweetheart and their future seemed bright together. Then, out of the blue, she tells him that she has fallen in love with another man and she wants a divorce. Stanley is crushed. He becomes incensed and decides to kill her new suitor, but he is smart enough to realize that he must be clever and not get caught. He decides to befriend the new boyfriend, David, in a show of conciliation. His wife likes the idea and thinks that it exhibits class. David thinks that it is very civil. Stanley has ulterior motives. He undermines the couple's relationship at every opportunity, all the while planning the perfect murder. Now he is ready to execute the plan but something goes wrong. He misses his opportunity. Still, he has planned well and it will allow for future attempts. Will Stanley be able to kill David? Will he get away with it?
