Differentiated book- It has a historical context with research of the time-The King in Yellow by Robert W. Chambers. It is a storybook by the American writer Robert W. Chambers, first published by F. Tennyson Neely in 1895. The book is named after a work with the same title that is repeated as the motif in some of the stories. The first half of the book features highly esteemed bizarre stories, and the book has been described by critics like EF Bleiler, ST Joshi, and TED Klein as a classic in the field of the supernatural. There are ten stories, of which the first four ("The Rebuilder of Reputations," "The Mask," "In the Court of the Dragon," and "The Yellow Sign") mention The King in Yellow, a forbidden work that induces despair or madness in those who read it. "The Yellow Sign" inspired a movie of the same name released in 2001. Robert William Chambers (May 26, 1865 - December 16, 1933) was an American fiction artist and writer, best known for his short story book The King in Yellow, published in 1895. He was born in Brooklyn, New York, son William P. Chambers (1827-1911), a bankruptcy and corporate lawyer, and Caroline Smith Boughton (1842-1913). Her parents met when Caroline was twelve and William P. was hospitalized with her father, Joseph Boughton, a prominent corporate lawyer.
