Souls: A Collection of Words and Thoughts is the first written release from Philadelphia Native T. J. Carter. The swift journey in prose takes the reader through the many highs and lows of love and heartbreak. Opening the book with an entry subtly entitled "Sin", the author takes us on a roller-coaster ride of emotion. Ebbing and flowing on the waves of a rocky relationship, Carter uses pen and paper to capture every intricate detail from blissful beginnings in "Perfectly Chaotic" to searching for the answer to the burning question after a break-up " Are You Even Still into Me?'T. J. Carter is a mother of two, who has spent a majority of her career working in Education and Human Services. Carter began writing at the age of 7, penning several poems and short stories in elementary school. Carter holds a B. A. in English from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore and a Master's in Business Administration from Ashford University. Having experienced her own fair share of "butterflies and teardrops" at the hands of different relationships, she decided to compile this selection of poems in hopes that it would give some insight into her inner soul.
