Plants From Pitlakes

This book aims to provide the readers with floral composition from mining pitlakes present in Eastern Coalfields region, India. As India is one of the largest producers of coal globally, it becomes immensely important to document the pitlakes. In recent times, these pitlakes are facing an existential crisis as coal mafias, and owners of the area tend to close down these pitlakes by dumping in soil and rocks for earning their profits. Several birds visit these pitlakes for dwelling and nestling in them as it acts as a food resource to them. Thus, it is highly imperative to understand the species growing in and around these pitlakes.
