The fate of humankind is that as surely as we have life, we shall have to face death. 'Soon I will lose all three dear brothers' is poignant, but 'setting farts alight and scorched bums!' eases the gravity of the subject matter. The River Mimram meandering from source to destination is used to illustrate our journey. The Sunflower tetralogy is hopeful and explores true love. Some of these poems were written five years ago, it needed time to germinate and grow. The words are heartfelt and mean so much to those represented in each poem. The pandemic has thrown an added dimension to some of these poems but the essence of this collection of poems is for you to probe.
