The story of Gideon is a story of transformation. He is introduced to as a timid young man hiding from marauding Midianites. Shocked when an Angel of the Lord appears to him and calls him a man of valor, causing his life to go through so many changes until he becomes worthy of the title. He becomes a valiant warrior and leader of Israel's army; bringing peace to a troubled land. He is included in the Bible Book of Judges because his people choose him to be their leader and protector. It is a story filled with action, romance and hope.
