Mary used to like visitors, but not any more. Some visitors come to the door and she tells them to go away, but some visitors come unbidden in other ways - in the night when she's trying to sleep, in her imagination or in her dreams, and she can't be rid of those quite so easily. Are they coming to help or to hinder? Do they mean her any harm? And are they inside the house, or on the outside? No-one can be trusted as she struggles to hold on to what few certainties she still has.
