Murder lures Finch from the capital to the small outlying town of Grace. Professor Pyke is about to showcase his latest invention, but for reasons unknown, someone wants him dead. When the Professor disappears in a devastating blast, Finch finds more than he bargained for.

As Finch investigates, he turns up more than dead bodies. People are going missing in Grace and no one appears to care. The local constabulary seems as untrustworthy as the criminals that have embedded themselves in the town. But that might not be where the poison ends.
