Avarie is now in the Watcher's hands and must conform to their way of life. Shimon has plans of marriage in mind for her, but she's not so adamant. Her behavior becomes more erratic and she is provided with a therapist, a doctor, and one of the people she thought she'd never meet; her mother. Now Avarie learns who she is and the circumstances of her birth. General Nathaniel Sturmmauer is now Avarie's guardian and it's not easy. Avarie is feisty and she's not having any of it. His goal is to keep her alive but she seems to have a death wish. Together with Marduk and Avarie's mother, they try to keep things together until the calvary comes.
