Growing up on that dairy farm in Iowa did not prepare Melinda for her life off of the farm. Who in their right mind would expect to have to make a run for their life on their wedding night? Melinda thought she had it all. Her world was the best it could be, and yet she wound up on the run. But from whom, for what reason? All she knew is she landed in the middle of the Caribbean Ocean on a small island of Anegada. The only thing she knew about Anegada was that it was an island where enormous flocks of flamingos lived. A sea of pink in a sea of azure blue. Melinda would soon find out how dark and sinister the Caribbean could be. She had no idea about the person she would become, or the people she would meet. Never in her wildest dreams could have foreseen falling in love with sailing, or a tall dark captain.
