Reminiscing The Good Ole Days is a collection of stories and thoughts and poems that I have written and posted on Facebook the last ten years since I retired. Some stories are several pages long and some are a paragraph. about my family, friends, people, adventures, travels, and experiences that have been a part of my life. I'm a simple man that writes simple stories in simple ways about simple people living a simple life. My favorite subject to write about is about myself and others and how we lived and did things yesterday and before that. Most of the people that like my stories can relate to them because we grew up poor, living in poor houses, stayed cold in the winter and hot in the summer, eating pinto beans and cornbread, and our family worked hard as a unit to support each other. Like me, living those times gives them a reason to appreciate the life we have today. Our good ole days aren't what we had or done physically but what's in our heart that we wish we still had such as our family and friends and the love we all had for each other. That's what my stories in Reminiscing The Good Ole Days are aboutI write from the heart and I word my stories like I would if I was talking to you in person. I'm not a professional author with any journalism training. I'm a high school dropout that failed high school English. I wrote this book, edited it, formatted it, designed the cover and self-published it myself. I get my confidences to publish my work from the reviews and feedback from people who read my stories on Facebook and who bought my first book called Raised on Pinto Beans and Cornbread. In reading my stories I hope you can overlook all my faults and mistakes and judge what I said and not how I wrote it and come away with a feeling that I have had a wonderful life. Oh, I almost forgot to mention that my stories were posted one at a time almost every day and sometimes I repeat parts in some stories to make my point that particular story.
