This is the chronicle of a very long journey, a journey of almost 80 years and numerous periods of formal education, through the disciplines of Science, Psychiatry, Philosophy, and Theology in an effort to answer these questions. All of these disciplines are in flux and will remain so for a very long time to come as will be demonstrated. Life is not simple nor is the Universe simple and often there are many answers to a question. This book will provide some of these answers, but will also raise more questions. In all disciplines it is often said to obtain answers one must ask the right questions, and this book attempts to do that.
