What happens when you set a classic soap opera in a small British village, say Isleham, Cambridgeshire? Add to the mix the lives of the working class and those on support from the state, add a pinch of family drama and a situation unfolding for the local police and fire department, blend too that mix a motorcycle club based on a crumbling foundation and bake for about an hour in the fires of madness. Take it and let it cool in simple mystery a while and finally sprinkle on a talking tortoise. This is the recipe for whatever smooth chaos lay within these pages, as we add the icing of cheesy dialogue and pent up sexual frustration to our final creation, behold in all its strangeness a safe, but not new creation, as we take the blade of our imaginations to it, cutting deep and discovering the tale within, the tale of The Mixer!
