Charlotte Pruitt was the average eighteen year old young lady, graduated from high school and ready to explore the world. She worked from as young as possible, earning money to achieve a dream, to travel through Europe. It was her way of escaping her reality, trying to be a normal young adult. Backpacking through Europe, Charlotte had dreams about her future, just like any other young female. Finding the love of her life, having a family. But first, she must be more social and meet this man of her dreams. She was oblivious to the real world around her, the type of world that no one talks about and many assumed didn't exist or refused to accept it existence. Unknown to her, Charlotte's life was about to change, dramatically. Upon witnessing a murder in an unknown city, a country foreign to her, it all started in Italy. Charlotte is led down a twisted and secretive path. A path that leads to the dark underworld and the people trying to prevent it. To catch the criminals, Charlotte will have to testify as a witness, but she doesn't want to, she just wants her boring and normal life back. If she testifies, her life will be in danger. Working along side Detective Moreau, Charlotte returns to Italy, to the country that turned her life around. Her life becomes a battle, fighting for survival, her mental health on the cusp of collapsing and the shy and timid Charlotte Pruitt is reborn into something else more sinister. Angelo Ricci is the big bad scary thug Charlotte is afraid of and when they finally meet, face to face, things seem to get slightly more interesting for Angelo. Obsession and power is what fuels Angelo and his ego feeds unto Charlotte, unknowingly for them both. Angelo plans to keep Charlotte by his side forever. However, Charlotte has different plans. The road ahead for Charlotte is long as she opens to new interests, battles her phobias, feeds her fears, ignores the internal emotions and relies on her mental health for survival against the mafia king. Will it give her strength to do what she needs to do or will she turn her back on everyone and take the path she has become accustomed to?Who will be the winner in this war?
