The Bride Runs Away Avery Fender

Jack was a sexy dude with an attitude. He has it going on and he knows it. He has avoided getting involved seriously with women. He has a great career, a law practice of his own, a sexy car, and he is very easy on the eyes. He doesn't need serious. Besides, he has seen too many bad relationships to want to get involved himself.

Luanne is also a very successful lawyer. She seems to have it all. A rotten childhood has left her emotionally damaged. She puts up a very rough exterior, one most people avoid. Jack, however, loves to set her off and does so regularly. Luanne is deep down wanting to be loved just for herself. But that hasn't happened as a child and as an adult, she thinks loving someone will make her weak.

The story starts in Texas at a big wedding. However, the bride is running and the hero, Jack, gives her a ride to getaway. it seems the groom has a girlfriend. That is not the worst part. Her dad catches him with the girlfriend right before the wedding. You would think he would take him out but no, he scolds him and tells him he can have as many girlfriends as he wants but he is going to marry his daughter. They have a big business deal going down that the joint merger will benefit both of them.

Little did they know that the bride, Luanne, was standing on the other side of the wall and heard everything they said. So she gathered up her skirt and she ran. Her car was blocked in and she needed a fast getaway before it was discovered she was not going to march down the aisle. She is desperate. She and Jack have always been like enemies, picking at each other and inflicting pain whenever possible. But Jack is standing there with his car keys in his hand and he is offering her a way out. She has no choice, she jumps in his car and they speed away just as her father and the groom come out of the church looking for her.
