This book is not out to add to the overstocked shelve on relationship. But it is a response to the request of the youths on the need to have a balanced Godly African perspective on the issue of relationship nowadays. Getting to know the right from the wrong is becoming difficult as the line of demarcation is getting blurred. It is not gain-saying that most people ideas our youths have are vague and ungodly. The reason for this is not far-fetched, polluted altar. Polluted because many of the teachers teaching it could not separate the western idea of dating from the peculiar situation we have in Africa. Polluted because many teachers are mixing secular with spiritual ideas of how to get the right partner. And no matter how high sounding and sweet their presentation might be, it only leaves the hearer empty at the end of the day. Some of the ideas raised, and argued for are foreign to the scripture, though they quote some verses here and there to support their idea. I think it should be the other way round. Scriptures should be interpreted in context before application is drawn for today's generation. Since the first print was out, I have counseled many on this issue. The chapter on PET (Please Explain This) are real questions asked by people after series of teaching on knowing the mind of God on your partner and the answers were practical as well. As such, this book, though a section from my first book, courtship is out to present biblical way of knowing the right person to marry from practical and African perspective. Feel free to check scriptures an read with open mind as I am trusting God to inspire you, open your eyes and mind to the eternal truth in this book. If you are willing to know the mind of God on this very important aspect of a man's life, then the book is out to help you discover the right path.
