You Meet Everyone Twice Ken Raybuck

You Meet Everyone Twice portrays a young man's nightmarish ordeal after he runs away from home. In desperation, he goes to Mexico to escape his involvement in a robbery and the possible death of another man. Grant Miller becomes imprisoned in a country he knows nothing about. His harrowing escape from a slave labor hell-hole takes him to a beach resort where he meets new friends and falls in love. Grant's new life turns out to be a fantasy that ends ten years later when his past catches up to him. He is forced into a realm of lies, drugs, and murder. He lives looking over his shoulder every moment as he is pursued by both a drug cartel and a rogue DEA agent. Grant does not know who to trust. The people he thought he knew are not at all what they seemed. The book takes the reader from Grant's early years, living on a farm, to risking a daring mission that will take him back to the hills and valleys of Bradford, Pennsylvania. It explores the relationships in Grant's life as his friends change over time and become intricately involved in his return to that quiet little town in Pennsylvania. His girlfriend and other friends are placed in danger because of Grant's past and the men pursuing him. This fictional book is set in the seventies and early eighties. It is about ordinary kids who grew up in the countryside where a few became bored and started stealing for the thrill of it. Grant Miller hesitated, but went along with the others. He left his family and friends and became isolated and alone. Nick Bellamy, Grant's former best friend from high school, also left Pennsylvania. His life took an entirely different direction. He became an attorney, but he was always at the edge of wrong. Nick feels trapped by his own bad decisions as he tries to help Grant get home.
