Heartbroken about the infidelity in her relationship, Meena Ragsdale decides to leave her hometown of Charlotte, North Carolina. Traveling as far as her body is physically able to drive, she stops in the town of Bristol, Virginia. Upon making Bristol her new home, Meena is summoned by spirits of the dead to assist with finding each of their killer. Persuaded by the mystery and the strange connection to the Bristol Library, Meena begins to investigate and advocate for the spirits to set them free. What happens to Meena is unexpected, perhaps deadly---a surprising encounter with a force to be reckoned with.
