Life has taken a bizarre turn for Benjamin. After stumbling onto the edges of a secret magical society that has lived among human normals for centuries, he is confronted with deciding which side to choose. What seems like a straight forward decision becomes complex as the line between who is "good" and "bad" is blurred by the choices his friends are making. While grieving over the losses of his best friend and his mentor, Benjamin has to contend with the return of another friend who appears to have returned from the dead, and is experimenting with activities that threaten everyone. Ultimately he has to prepare for the most difficult step in his life: take up the fight for the right cause, if he can manage to figure out exactly what that is and who to join.
