A post-apocalyptic romp across Europe on a bike. What if after the Collapse and Die Out there was no other way to get across a chaotic world than to strike out on the road in search for warmer climes? In Javea... Yes! an American expat who owns a chateau in Belgium is found marooned, widowed, childless and without firewood. He owns a holiday home on the Mediterranean coast in Spain but there is no more gas for his car and no planes or trains. He decides to hit the road on his bike, crossing the two thousand kilometers towards Javea, working his way as a doctor, bartering and foraging, sometimes stealing. On the way he has a series of madcap adventures with a variety of survivors and locals, some crazy, some desperate, some dodgy. Everyone is looking for safety, comfort and love in a Mad Max world. Things work out in the end, but not at all the way he'd planned.
