Mike Hellawell made over 170 appearances for Birmingham City in the 1950's & 60's including scoring in the InterCitys fairs cup 1961 final against Roma. He also played topflight football for QPR, Sunderland and Huddersfield and was around the famous 1966 England squad winning 2 Caps. Mike also played first class cricket for Warwickshire and Yorkshire's 2nd team playing with Geoffrey Boycott on his debut. This is the fascinating and humbling story of an ordinary Yorkshire lad who ended up living the dream; telling the story of his childhood, professional career, post football life, Christian faith and his marriage of more than 60 years.
