The future looked dim for Captain Lena Bradshaw, but she escaped from prison in a ship named the Spirit of 77. It has an A. I. (Artificial Intelligence) computer that may not be in Bradshaw's best interest. There appears to be aliens intervening in a war that has been raging for eight years. Lena crash lands on a remote planet and finds she is attracted to a man from a primitive culture. Her attraction to this man from the stone ages is a driving force to her quest for peace. She alone defeats the enemy and uncovers a conspiracy reaching the very top of the military.
