I can remember at a certain time not all that long ago that there was a pot cooking in every house, because we all loved the art of cooking. But we have lost that love to fast foods and the hurry-up pace of the digital age. There is nothing like preparing and sitting down to a wonderful meal that you prepared for your family. This cookbook is geared toward simplicity and cooking delicious foods. The recipes were accumulated through my long cooking career, starting with my mother and continuing through the military (Army & Navy) to owning my own restaurant and catering business. I have been testing and collecting recipes for over fifty years, both country and urban styles. Some of the recipes come from having to cook with what was available when times were tough and show you how you can make simple ingredients shine. Enjoy.
