It's while Billy and his mother are on holiday in Switzerland that they are approached by Abel Vanderboffin, a billionaire resort owner who also happens to be the sweetest old man they've ever met. Impressed by what he has heard of the two, Abel invites them both to a half-finished island resort for the weekend where he asks that they help to solve a five-year-old murder. Billy and Ethel both agree and within the hour they are on a plane heading to the middle of the ocean on a job they know little - if anything - about. But it gets stranger from there. The victim was a sixteen-year-old girl who was visiting the resort for the week and Abel is convinced that a member of his own family is involved. He asks that Billy and Ethel investigate each one, and to use any means needed to find the answer. Again, Billy and Ethel agree.
