Life is good for Teresa Ricci. She's a beautiful, successful journalist, she's adored by her wonderful boyfriend, and she lives in her magnificent hometown, the eternal city of Rome. But she's haunted by a feeling that something vital is missing from her life. At the Venice Film Festival, Teresa meets actor Richard Beaumont and immediately feels an intense connection with him. The spark between them is mutual, but it doesn't survive the thrilling, intimate atmosphere of the festival. They go their separate ways and lose touch. Over the following years, Teresa faces many painful challenges and feels increasingly lost. When she flies to Los Angeles and meets Richard again, she dares to open her heart to hope.
