Allan Quartermain is the sequel to the famous novel "King Solomon's Mines". Quatermain lost his only son and longed to return to the desert. After persuading Sir Henry Curtis, Captain John Good, and the Zulu chieftain Umbopa to accompany him, they set out off the coast of East Africa, this time in search of a white man who should have lived north of Mount Kenya.
