"I cannot cope with this situation anymore. I am going to sneak out silently". "Please forgive" is a story about a mother, Agbomma, and her daughter, Ngozi. The couple at the beginning of the story had some difficulty with childbirth. They resorted to Traditional means and eventually became successful. Because of the difficulty with childbirth which she encountered, Agbomma now overprotected and over pampered her child Ngozi, shielding her from all sorts of manual work, and was ready to fight for her for any unreasonable case. This made Ngozi to lose the taste of decency, and she grew up to be a thorn in the flesh. Agbomma stepped on many toes just to protect her child, and in the end, her daughter disappointed her. The series of pleas and attempts she made to gain back the friendship of her friends that she despised gave rise to the book's title,"Please forgive".
