While her body fights for life from a hospital bed in Inglewood, CA, Meredith "Meri" Knight struggles to remember how she came to be there. Her mind recalls a harsh childhood filled with violent tragedies while ten years of her life are somehow missing from her memory. She does vividly remember a spiritual visit from a dark and sinister presence which granted her the power to become a feared vigilante who rode the streets in the name of vengeance; known as the Knightmare. As Meri contends with her memory from her hospital bed, she begins to realize that her power came at the price not only of a lost love, but her very soul. Her only hope is that she may reject her power and the dark spirit that gave it to her, accepting whatever consequences that may come. It may be the only way to end the Knightmare!
