National Park Service Camping Ultimate Campgrounds

The National Park Service Camping book is based on data from The Ultimate Public Campground Project. The book describes 2,241 camping areas managed by the National Park Service in 37 states. Details for each camping area include number of campsites, amenities, facilities, fees, reservation information, GPS coordinates, and more. The guide is especially helpful when used along with Google Maps, Windows Maps, or a GPS device for locating and navigating to each camping area.

The Ultimate Public Campground Project was established in 2008 to provide a consolidated and comprehensive source for public campgrounds of all types. The Project currently consists of more than 40,000 campgrounds and boondocking locations. Work continues on the Project with information updated regularly.
