The story of the prince of Cornwall (a fictitious 12th century England story) continues in the second volume of the novel THE KING. After having been seriously wounded at the royal hunting, Simon is taken to a mansion owned by a young baroness who lives there together with her aunt, Lady Harriet. This baroness happens to be the "forest girl" he had previously met. A very beautiful love story begins. But there are some enemies of their happiness: Lady Harriet, Sir Peter Martins and above all, Queen Mathilda herself, who cannot admit the prince's marriage with another woman.
