KARLOV ACADEMY is a unique school where the classic monster children discover and utilize their individual monster abilities. This year, three new freshmen stalk the halls in hope of making the grade, for one does not want to know the consequences of failure at this school: Jocelyn Lake, daughter of the Crystal Lake Slasher; Prince Sebastian V'ladarik, a vampire who is always compared to his brother, the BVOC; and Lawrence Chaney who is hiding a terrible secret from his family. The three become fast friends as they learn to survive their freshman year at Karlov Academy.
