All of us want to live a long life but the idea of growing old does not appeal to anyone. Senior Living, Aging Gracefully, Life in the Fourth Quarter, Retirement Blues are often topics less ventured and that explains why not many books are found on these topics on Amazon. Senior citizens fear loneliness. They look for companionship and new friends. They have ample time to accomplish their goals, dreams, and passion but do not know where and how. Many questions came to my mind while exploring the possibilities of making old age a simple, fun, and joyful experience. Come to think of it "Old Age isn't so bad if you consider the alternative." Instead of age-old stereotype thinking where one feels like a victim, a burden on family and society, it is time to shift our focus on people and not material things, do something new, progressive, and empowering. Reframe your mind: What is the one thing I will do today to begin the life I love? Or How can I find resources to keep myself occupied and busy? How do I leave behind a legacy? Or How about what is great in my life right now that I have forgotten? Let us remember here that Limiting Beliefs= Limiting Lives. Let us learn to live abundantly with less.
