A Circle Unbroken

Fifteen year old Katherine Rose Wilshire is married off to a man old enough to be her father, in an arranged marriage. They move from Leesburg, Virginia to assume ownership of a cotton plantation in Ashley, South Carolina just outside Charles Town, as the Revolutionary War begins in the colonies. A chance meeting with a stranger hints at a future that Katherine never realized. A door is opened to her and she steps through it, not knowing then how that decision would impact her life then or in the future...of the struggles and losses, of the love that endures and the determination to hold onto it at all costs.
