Dr. Samuel Stein is no exception. Despite the way he managed to redefine himself, despite the relationships he managed to forge and emotions he learned to control, he is still a victim of his own past.
When someone he had long since forgotten, someone he had long since stopped loving, shows up at the Institute, the new life Stein had forged for himself, as well as those of his new friends, falls into jeopardy. With this person from his past comes not only a disruption in what could be a perfect life, but also what could be the end of one of his best friend's lives.
